Welcome to Andøya
Furthest north in Vesterålen and Nordland, on the edge of the ocean, you will find Andøya, with its extensive marshland and pointed mountains. Here you can go on a photo hunt for the Sperm whale “Moby Dick”, admire the birds on Bleiksøya and fish your own dinner straight up from the sea. In the period between 19 May and 25 July you can see the midnight sun.
West side of Andøya
We highly recommend our visitors to travel along the west side of the island on their journey to or from Andenes. This road will become a Tourist National road because of its outstanding nature. You will see the ocean on one side, mountains, marshland and lakes on the other side.

But we have even more to offer you. The Polar Museum, Artscape Nordland, art and craft galleries, soap workshop, local food, last but not least attractive cafés and restaurants.
